Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get into college football, and Assumption University’s team seemed like a good place to start. I didn’t know much about them, so I figured I’d do a little digging and see what I could find.
First things first, I pulled up my browser and typed in “Assumption University football”. Right away, I got a bunch of hits, mostly news articles and the official team page. I clicked on a few of those to get a feel for the team’s history and recent performance.
I learned that they’re a Division II team, which, honestly, I didn’t even know was a thing before today. They play in the Northeast-10 Conference, and apparently, they’ve been doing pretty well lately. I found some articles talking about their recent winning seasons and a few standout players.
Then, I dove into the team’s schedule. I wanted to see if they had any upcoming games that I might be able to watch. Turns out, they have a game this weekend! I checked out the opponent, and they seem like a tough team, so it should be a good match.
After that, I decided to look into the players a bit more. I browsed through the roster on the team’s website, just to see who’s who. I noticed a few players who were mentioned in the articles I read earlier, so I paid extra attention to them.
- The quarterback seems like a solid player.
- There’s a wide receiver who’s supposed to be really fast.
- Their defense had some good stats from last season.
Finally, I checked out some videos. I watched a few highlight reels from previous games to get a sense of their playing style. They look pretty good! Lots of action, and it seems like they have a strong team spirit.
Overall
It was a fun little research project. I definitely learned a lot about Assumption University’s football team, and now I’m actually excited to watch their game this weekend. Who knows, maybe I’ll become a regular fan. It’s always cool to discover new things, right?
