Okay, so, today I wanna talk about my basketball practice with Arthur Gabrielyan. I’m not a pro or anything, just a regular dude who likes to shoot some hoops. But I’ve always wanted to get better, you know?
First off, I had to figure out what I was doing wrong. I watched some videos online and realized my form was all messed up. My feet were pointing in the wrong direction, my elbows were sticking out, and I wasn’t following through with my shot. It was a mess!
So, I started with the basics. I practiced my stance, making sure my feet were shoulder-width apart and pointing towards the basket. Then, I worked on my grip, holding the ball with my fingertips, not my palms. It felt weird at first, but I got used to it.
Shooting Practice
- Stance: Feet shoulder-width apart, knees bent, back straight.
- Grip: Ball in fingertips, shooting hand behind the ball, guide hand on the side.
- Motion: Smooth, fluid motion, elbow in, follow through with the wrist.
- Focus: Eyes on the target, concentrate on the shot.
Next, I moved on to shooting. I started close to the basket, focusing on my form. I made sure to keep my elbow in and follow through with my wrist. I took my time, not rushing my shots. Slowly but surely, I started to see improvement. My shots were more accurate, and I was making more baskets.
I also worked on my dribbling. I practiced dribbling with both hands, keeping the ball low to the ground and my head up. I did some drills, like dribbling around cones and figure-eights. It was tough, but I kept at it.
After a while, I started to feel more confident. I started playing pick-up games with some friends, and I was actually able to hold my own. I wasn’t the best player on the court, but I wasn’t the worst either. I was making shots, playing defense, and contributing to the team. It felt great!
I know I still have a long way to go, but I’m happy with the progress I’ve made. Basketball is a challenging sport, but it’s also a lot of fun. And with practice and dedication, anyone can get better. So if you’re thinking about picking up a basketball, go for it! You might surprise yourself.
