Okay, so yesterday, I decided to get back into playing some indoor volleyball. Haven’t played in ages, so I was pretty stoked! First thing I did was dig out my old volleyball gear. Found my knee pads – definitely needed those – and my trusty old shoes.

Getting Started
I called up a few friends to see if they were interested, it took a little bit of convincing, but eventually, I got a solid group together.
We needed at least six people for a decent game, and thankfully, we managed to get eight!
Finding a Court
Next challenge: finding a court.
I checked a couple of local community centers, they are usually cheap to book and often not that busy.

- The first place was fully booked – bummer.
- But, I called the second one and, bingo! They had a court available for a couple of hours. Booked it right away.
Game Time!
We all met up at the community center, did some quick warm-ups – gotta stretch those muscles, you know? – and then divided into teams. It wasn’t super serious, just a friendly game, but of course, everyone wanted to win.
The game itself was a blast! Lots of running around, diving for the ball, a few epic spikes, and a ton of laughs. We played for a solid two hours. I totally forgot how much energy volleyball takes! We played several game, my team won some, lost some, so it’s ok.
Wrapping Up
Afterward, we were all pretty wiped out, but in a good way. We grabbed some water, chatted for a bit, and then headed our separate ways. My body’s definitely feeling it today, but it was totally worth it. It’s all that matters.
Already planning another game for next week – gonna try to make this a regular thing again!
