Well, well, well, lookie here, you wanna know about this thing called Aeria Games, huh? Sounds fancy, don’t it? Reminds me of that fancy soap my granddaughter used to buy. Anyways, this here Aeria Games, it’s like a big ol’ potluck supper, but with them computer games instead of food. Lots of folks come around, playin’ all sorts of games. That’s all they talk about nowadays, them games.
I heard some young’uns talkin’ ’bout it down at the general store the other day. Said somethin’ ’bout it bein’ a place where you can play games online. Online, they say! Back in my day, we played outside. But these young folks, they all like to be inside, starin’ at them screens. This Aeria Games is just one of many, I guess. Seems this one is from Germany. Big place, Germany, I reckon.
They got all kinds of games, I hear. This Aeria Games and Entertainment thing, it’s for them video games. Like that one with the cars, or the one where they shoot each other. Not my cup of tea, but the kids sure do love ’em. They got games for everyone, so they say. Even old folks like me, though I can’t rightly see myself playin’ any of ’em.
Now, these Aeria Games, they ain’t sellin’ nothin’, not really. You just go on there and play. Free, they say it is. But nothin’s ever really free, is it? I reckon they get their money somehow. Probably sellin’ your information to them big companies. That’s how they do it these days. Or they make you pay for things in the game, I heard. Like fancy clothes for your character. You pay real money for fake clothes! Imagine that!

I heard this Aeria Games used to be real popular. They had this game called Last Chaos, was one of their first. Then they had others, somethin’ about Wiple Games. Sounds like a made-up name to me. But they got lots of ’em. Golden Age, sounds nice, don’t it? But it’s just another game, I reckon. About building things and fighting, like they always are.
This Aeria Games, it’s a publisher, they say. Like them folks who make books, but for games. They put ’em out there for everyone to play. They got a big office in Germany, I hear. And they used to have one in America, too. Then somethin happened, they switched to someone called Gamigo and X-Legend, they got some of the games now. Lots of big names, hard to keep up with them all.
They got all these different kinds of games. Some you play right in your computer window. No need to download nothin’. Just click and play. Others, you gotta download ’em. Takes up space on your computer, I reckon. But the kids, they don’t care. They just want to play them games.
This here Aeria Games and Entertainment was a big deal, I guess. But then the website closed! Can you imagine? All those people playing, and then poof! It’s gone! They say it went over to Gamigo’s Glyph platform now. What does that even mean? It is all so confusing. Everything changes so fast these days.
Well, that’s about all I know about this Aeria Games thing. It’s a place to play games, that’s for sure. Free to play, they say, but you know there’s always a catch. Lots of different games, somethin’ for everyone, I guess. Just don’t get caught up too much, you hear? Go outside, get some fresh air. That’s what I always say.
I remember when we used to play games outside. Hopscotch, tag, hide-and-seek. Good, clean fun. Didn’t need no fancy computers or nothin’. Just a few friends and a little bit of imagination. This Aeria Games, it’s just another thing, I suppose. Another way to pass the time. Nothing wrong with it, I guess. Just different. Very different from how things used to be, that’s all I’m sayin’.
This whole thing is like those fancy dinners they have in the city. All them different courses and tiny portions. Back in my day, we just had meat and potatoes. Simple and filling. These games, they’re like them fancy dinners. Lots of variety, but sometimes you just want somethin’ simple and good. I guess that’s why folks still play them old games, like checkers and cards. They’re simple, but they’re good. Like a good ol’ home-cooked meal.
