Okay, so today I decided to give “acro sport 2” a shot. I’d heard some buzz about it, and figured, why not? I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but I’m always up for trying something new.

First, I searched for some basic information. What even is this? Mostly just some vague stuff. But I finally get a feeling of what is that.
Getting Started
I started by trying to find a good spot. I needed somewhere with enough space, and ideally, not too many hard surfaces in case I took a tumble (which, let’s be honest, was pretty likely). My backyard seemed like the best bet.
Next, I watched a few quick videos. You know, just to get a general idea of the movements. I wasn’t trying to become a pro overnight, just wanted to avoid looking like a complete idiot. The people in the videos made it look so easy, all graceful and flowing. Spoiler alert: it’s not that easy.
The Actual Practice
My first few attempts were…well, let’s just say they were humbling. I tried to copy what I’d seen, but my body didn’t seem to want to cooperate. I wobbled, I stumbled, and I definitely fell a few times. Nothing major, thankfully, just a few bruised egos and maybe a slightly sore wrist.
- First attempt: Complete fail. I think I lasted about two seconds before collapsing in a heap.
- Second attempt: Slightly better. Managed to hold a pose for a whole five seconds! Progress!
- Third attempt: Fell again. This time I almost took out a potted plant.
I kept at it though. I adjusted my positioning, tried different hand placements, and focused on engaging my core (which, apparently, is important for this kind of thing). Slowly, very slowly, I started to feel a little more stable.
Small Victories
After about an hour, I managed to hold a basic pose – I think it’s called a “frog stand” – for a good 10 seconds! It wasn’t pretty, and I was definitely shaking, but I did it. I even managed to transition into another pose, though that one was a bit more wobbly.

I’m definitely not ready to join the circus or anything, but I feel like I accomplished something. It was a fun challenge, and I actually got a pretty good workout. My arms and core are definitely feeling it now.
I’ll probably try this again tomorrow. Maybe I’ll even get brave enough to try some of the more advanced moves. Or maybe I’ll just stick to the basics and try not to fall on my face. We’ll see!
