Okay, folks, let me tell you about my little adventure today figuring out the official ball for MHSAA volleyball games.

So, I started by hitting up the usual spots – you know, the big sports stores. I figured they’d have a section for official game balls, but no luck. They had plenty of volleyballs, sure, but nothing that screamed “MHSAA approved!”
Feeling a bit lost, I whipped out my phone and started digging online. I went straight to the MHSAA website, thinking they’d have the info front and center. Let me tell you, navigating that site was like trying to find a specific grain of sand on a beach. It was a mess!
After what felt like forever, I stumbled upon a document buried deep in their volleyball section. It was some kind of rule book or manual, and I had to scroll through pages and pages of regulations before I found what I was looking for.
I learned that, they specify details, such as the material, the weight, the air pressure…the whole nine yards. It had to be a specific brand and model! Finally!, I was relieved.
I copied down the model name and went to the several online store.
And you, I finally got that official MHSAA volleyball game ball! I also compared some popular brand store, and I found their price were very similar.

My takeaway from all this? Sometimes, finding the simplest information can be a real treasure hunt. But hey, at least I know I’ve got the right ball now!
