Okay, so I’ve been trying to get back in shape, and a buddy of mine told me about this thing called ACA Sport. I was like, “What the heck is that?” Turns out, it’s some kind of, like, workout program, I guess? Anyway, I decided to give it a shot. Here’s how it went down:

First Steps… Ugh
First, I looked it up online. Found some videos, read some articles, the usual. It seemed pretty intense, lots of bodyweight stuff, some cardio. Honestly, I was a little intimidated, ’cause, you know, I’m not exactly a fitness guru.
Getting Started (Finally!)
So, I picked a day to start. Monday, because why not torture myself, right? I found a basic routine online, nothing too crazy. It had some push-ups, squats, lunges, and planks. I was like, “Okay, I can probably do this.”
- Push-ups: My arms were screaming after, like, five. I’m not gonna lie.
- Squats: My legs felt like jelly. I definitely didn’t do as many as they suggested.
- Lunges: These were surprisingly okay. Maybe my legs aren’t completely useless.
- Planks: I thought I was gonna die. Seriously. Holding that position is brutal.
The Aftermath (aka Pain)
I finished the routine, feeling like I’d been hit by a truck. Everything hurt. I stretched a little, hoping that would help. It didn’t, really. I took a shower, and then basically collapsed on the couch for the rest of the day.
Keeping it Going (Maybe?)
I tried to do it again a couple of days later. It was still hard, but maybe a tiny bit easier. I’m still nowhere near being able to do all the reps they recommend, but hey, I’m trying. I modified some of the exercises to make them a bit less intense, like doing push-ups against the wall instead of the floor.
So, that’s my ACA Sport journey so far. It’s been… challenging, to say the least. But I’m sticking with it, for now. We’ll see how long that lasts. Wish me luck, I’m gonna need it!
