So, I’ve been wanting to trick out my Pajero Sport for a while now. It’s a great ride, don’t get me wrong, but I wanted to add a few things to make it mine, you know?
The Hunt Begins

The Deep Dive
So many options! We are talking about:
- Roof Racks: I figured this would be practical for road trips and hauling stuff. I looked at a few different styles, some were super heavy-duty, others were more streamlined.
- Floor Mats: Okay, not the most exciting accessory, but the original mats were getting pretty worn. I wanted something that could handle mud and dirt, since I like to go off-road sometimes.
- Side Steps: My wife is, shall we say, vertically challenged. Side steps seemed like a good idea for easier getting in and out. Plus, I thought they looked pretty cool.
- Cargo Organizer: The back of the Pajero can get messy fast. I found a few organizers that looked promising, some with different compartments and tie-down points.
Making Choices
After few days scrolling through options, I started to narrow things down. I decided to look for:

The Result
The side steps and the cargo are no brainer.
For the Floor mats I’ve got a relief, I confess, specially with kids.
The most complicated part was with roof racks. It took me about an hour to complete, I’ve followed the install instructions. The important thing is that I got everything and finally made it!
Overall, I’m pretty happy with how it all turned out! The Pajero Sport feels more functional and, let’s be honest, a little bit cooler. It was a fun project, and I’m already thinking about what I want to add next… maybe some new lights?
