Okay, so today I decided to get my butt off the couch and do something about this “all sport” idea I had. It all started this morning when I was, you know, just scrolling through my phone.
Getting Started
First things first, I needed a plan. I grabbed a piece of paper and a pen, old-school style, and wrote down some sports I thought I could handle. Let see, what I can do by myself?
- Running(classic!)
- Biking(gotta pump up those tires)
- Swimming(if I can find a pool that’s not too crowded)
- Basketball(just shooting some hoops, nothing fancy)
- Hiking(find a trail that won’t kill me)
The Execution
I started with a run, a short one. Because, well, I haven’t run in ages. My legs felt like jelly afterward, but hey, I did it!
Next, I dusted off my old bike. Took it for a spin around the block. The chain was so creaky. I’m surprised that the wheels still can turn around!
Then I went down the street to find a basketball court, the backboard was so dirty. I think I made, like, two shots out of ten? My arms were burning by the end.
I skipped swimming today. Finding a pool is hard, and, honestly, I was already pretty beat. I’ll save that for another day.
Finally, I went for a little hike. It wasn’t a mountain or anything, just a walk through a local park. Nice and easy, I just want to get some fresh air.

The Aftermath
I crashed on the sofa. My whole body was aching. I think I pulled something in my back, but at least I was getting out of my house!
It wasn’t pretty, and I’m definitely not an athlete, but I did it. I tried a bunch of different sports in one day. I call that a win, I guess.
Maybe tomorrow I’ll just stick to walking. Or maybe just stretching. We’ll see.
