So, I felt like playing some games today, and I remembered those cool little Google Doodle games. I was in the mood for something sporty, so I typed “google games volleyball” into the search bar.

The first thing that popped up was the 2012 Doodle for volleyball. I clicked on it, and the game loaded up pretty quickly. It’s a simple side-scrolling game where you play as one of the players on a two-person team.
How I played the game
I used the left and right arrow keys to move my player back and forth, and the up arrow key to jump. The goal, obviously, is to hit the ball over the net and make it land on the other team’s side.
- Moving: Use the arrow keys on the keyboard.
- Jumping: Again use the up arrow * your jump with the moving ball.
It took me a few tries to get the hang of the timing. At first, I kept missing the ball or hitting it out of bounds. But after a few rounds, I started to get the rhythm down. The opposing team is controlled by the computer, and they’re pretty good! They moved quickly and jumped high to block my shots.
I played for about 10 minutes, trying to beat my own high score. It’s surprisingly addictive! The graphics are simple, but the gameplay is fun and challenging. Even after playing many games I feel great, because of the fun I had.
It’s definitely a fun little time-waster if you’re looking for a quick and easy game to * best of all, it’s free and readily available on Google!
