Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get into better shape, and I saw some people doing this “bikini sport” thing online. It looked…intense, but also kinda fun? So, I decided to give it a shot. Figured I’d document the whole thing, ’cause why not.

First Steps: Finding a Routine
First thing I did was try to figure out what this sport actually is. Turns out, it’s not just about wearing a bikini – duh. It’s about building muscle, getting lean, and posing. Lots and lots of posing. I found some beginner workouts online – mostly weightlifting stuff, some cardio, and core exercises.
- Day 1: Total disaster. I could barely lift the lightest weights. My arms felt like jelly.
- Day 2: Slightly less disastrous. Still sore, but I managed to do a few more reps. Found a workout buddy, which helped a lot.
- Day 3: Started with cardio to test. Oh my god, I’m out of breath.
The Diet Change (Ugh)
Then came the diet part. Let me tell you, this was the worst. I love my carbs, and suddenly I was supposed to be eating, like, chicken breast and broccoli all the time.
I tried to meal prep. I really did. I bought a bunch of Tupperware, cooked a huge batch of chicken, and…hated every bite. I lasted about three days before I caved and had a slice of pizza. Baby steps, right?
Posing Practice (Awkward!)
And then there was the posing. Oh, boy. I felt so ridiculous standing in front of my mirror, trying to flex muscles I barely had. It felt like a whole different language my body didn’t speak. I watched some videos, tried to copy the poses, and mostly just ended up feeling like a confused flamingo.
- Tried to hold the pose for 10 seconds…failed at the 3-second mark.
- Almost fell over trying to do that back pose thing. Need more balance.
I kept at it, though. Practiced a little bit every day, even if it was just for a few minutes. And slowly, very slowly, I started to see some changes.
Seeing (Tiny) Results
It’s been a few weeks now, and I’m not gonna lie, it’s been tough. But I’m starting to feel stronger. I can lift heavier weights (still not super heavy, but hey, progress!). I can hold a plank for longer than 5 seconds. And my reflection is looking, ever-so-slightly, more toned. Even the posing is getting a little less awkward.

I’m still eating pizza sometimes (don’t judge), but I’m also eating more of the healthy stuff. It’s a balance, I guess. And honestly, I’m kind of enjoying the process. It’s challenging, but it feels good to push myself and see what my body can do.
So, yeah, that’s my “bikini sport” journey so far. It’s definitely a work in progress, but I’m sticking with it. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll actually feel confident enough to rock a bikini on stage. Or, you know, at least at the beach.
