Alright, let’s yak about this beach volleyball game for the PS2. I don’t know much about these fancy video games, but my grandson, he loves ’em. He’s always yappin’ about this “PlayStation 2” thingy.
So, from what I gather, this here game is all about beach volleyball. You know, that game where them young’uns smack a ball back and forth over a net, but on the sand? Yeah, that’s the one. It ain’t like that indoor volleyball stuff, where there’s a whole bunch of ’em runnin’ around. This here is just two fellers on each side, or maybe two gals, I don’t rightly know. It’s all the same to me.
- Two folks on each team, that’s what I heard. Means they gotta be good at everything – servin’, diggin’, blockin’, hittin’. Sounds like a lot of work to me.
- And they gotta use their arms, not their hands so much. Grandson says it’s for better control, somethin’ about keepin’ that ball from flyin’ off into the weeds.
Now, this PS2 game, it’s the first one of its kind for that there PlayStation thingy. That’s what the young’uns told me. They say it’s the only beach volleyball game for the PS2. Guess that makes it special, huh? I reckon it’s like findin’ a ripe watermelon in the patch – a rare thing, indeed.
Summer Heat Beach Volleyball, that’s what they call it. Sounds mighty warm, don’t it? I bet them little fellers in the game get all sweaty runnin’ around in the sand. Reminds me of them hot summer days when I was young, pickin’ cotton in the fields. Lord, it was hot then!
You can find this game on somethin’ called eBay. Grandson says it’s a place where you buy and sell things. I don’t know much about it. I like goin’ to the store myself, seein’ things with my own eyes. But these young’uns, they like doin’ everything on them computery things.
They say the game is fully tested and it works. Well, I should hope so! Nothin’ worse than buyin’ somethin’ that don’t work. It’s like buyin’ a leaky bucket, just plain useless. And it’s just the disc, they say. No fancy box or nothin’, just the game itself.
Now, they say this beach volleyball on the PS2 is different from that indoor stuff. Indoor, they got six folks on each team, runnin’ all over the place. But on the beach, it’s just two. That means them two players gotta be real good, gotta do it all. They gotta serve the ball, they gotta dig it up when the other team hits it, they gotta block it at the net, and they gotta hit it back hard. That’s a lot for two people, I tell ya.
And talkin’ about that ball, seems like you gotta hit it with your forearms mostly, not your hands. That’s what my grandson said, anyways. Somethin’ about keepin’ it steady, specially when the wind’s blowin’. We get some strong winds around here, lemme tell ya. Blew my clothesline right down last week. Had to hang my wash all over the porch.
So, this PS2 Beach Volleyball game, seems like it’s a pretty big deal for them video game folks. It’s the first one, the only one on that PlayStation 2. And it lets you play that beach volleyball game, just like them young’uns do on the TV. You know, the ones they show durin’ the Olympics? Grandson said somethin’ ’bout the 2024 Paris Olympics havin’ beach volleyball on TV. NBC, USA Network, CNBC, and somethin’ called E!. And on them computery things too, like Peacock and NBC Olympics. I don’t know nothin’ ’bout that.
Anyway, if you’re lookin’ for a beach volleyball game to play on your PS2, this Summer Heat one seems to be the ticket. Just remember, it’s two on two, gotta use your forearms, and it’s the only one out there for the PS2. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my biscuits. Don’t want them burnin’ up like last time.
