Okay, so I decided to make a “Bunny Olympics Volleyball Game” because, why not? It sounded hilarious and fun. First, I brainstormed what this game would even look like. I pictured fluffy bunnies hopping around, trying to bump a tiny volleyball over a net. It had to be cute, obviously.

I started by sketching out some bunny characters. I made them all different shapes and sizes, some with floppy ears, some with perky ears, and some with little tufts of fur. I wanted them to look a bit goofy, not super athletic, because that’s funnier.
Next, I thought about the environment. I went with a sunny, grassy field, because, again, cute. I added a ridiculously small volleyball net, and a ball that was basically the size of the bunnies’ heads. Major cuteness overload.
Coding the chaos
Then came the actual game-making part. I’m not a pro coder, so I kept it simple. I used a basic 2D game engine, nothing fancy.
- I made the bunnies move with simple keyboard controls.
- “Up” makes them jump (or, more accurately, hop).
- Left and right, you know, move them left and right.
The physics were… interesting. I wanted the bunnies to bounce around a lot, so I cranked up the bounciness. The volleyball, too. It ended up being this chaotic mess of bouncing bunnies and a flying volleyball, which was exactly what I wanted.
I added some simple scoring. Whenever the volleyball hits the ground on one side, the other side gets a point. First to, like, 5 points wins. It’s not exactly e-sports material, but it’s something.
The Final Result!
After messing around with it for a while, adding some sound effects (mostly “boing” sounds), I had my game! It’s super silly, and kind of glitchy, but it makes me laugh. It’s the perfect game for when you just want to see some bunnies do something ridiculous.

It’s not perfect, I messed up a lot of things during the process, but finally, the game is working at least. That is the most important thing.
So yeah, that’s how I made my Bunny Olympics Volleyball Game. I encourage you to try it. You might be surprised how entertaining it is to watch little bunnies try to play sports.
