Okay, so I was messing around with the New York Times crossword today, and I got totally stuck on this one clue: “theatrical entertainment.” I stared at it for like, ten minutes. Nothing.
I tried thinking of all the theater-related words I knew. Plays? Nope, too short. Musicals? Still no. I even started trying to remember specific show titles, like “Cats” or “Hamilton,” but none of them fit the letter count.
Then, I decided to switch up my strategy. Instead of focusing on what it was, I thought about where I might see this kind of entertainment. Broadway? Nope. Theater? Still a no-go. I was getting frustrated.
The “Aha!” Moment
