Okay, so I’ve been wanting to check out the live music scene down here in Punta Gorda, and everyone keeps talking about the tiki bars. I figured, why not dive in and see what’s up? So, I decided to find the entertainment schedule for the tiki bars, focusing on one place at a time to not get overwhelmed.
Digging for Info
First, I grabbed my phone and opened up my browser. I typed in something like “tiki bar punta gorda entertainment schedule.” Simple enough, right?
I scrolled through the results. Honestly, it was a bit of a mess at first. Some websites were outdated, others were just listing general info, and there were a bunch that weren’t relevant and some that were difficult to navigate.

- Tried looking at some “event calendar” type sites.
The Process
I started to filter through the options in my head about where to even start my search, and after looking at many options, I focused on finding the schedules of popular places. I kept my search simple, using the names and adding “entertainment” or “music schedule.”
I spent a good chunk of time, maybe 30-40 minutes, just clicking around, reading event descriptions, and taking down notes in a little notepad I keep by my computer. Gotta stay organized, you know?
