Okay, so today I decided to get back into sports. It’s been a while, honestly. I used to be pretty active, but life, you know? It happens. Anyway, I figured I’d start simple. No crazy marathon training or anything, just something to get the blood flowing.
First, I dusted off my old running shoes. They were hiding in the back of the closet, looking a little sad. Gave them a quick wipe down, and they were good to go. Then, the hardest part – actually getting out the door. It’s always the biggest hurdle, right?
I decided to just walk around the block. Nothing fancy. Put on some music, stepped outside, and started moving. It was…nice. Actually, it was more than nice. The sun was shining, there was a slight breeze, and people were out and about. I felt…good.
- Walked for about 15 minutes, just getting my legs used to it again.
- Upped the pace a little after that, almost to a jog. Felt a little burn, but a good burn.
- Finished with another 15 minutes of walking, cooling down.
Stretching it Out
Back home, I did, and finished with some basic stretches. Nothing I remembered from some old workout videos.
I am feeling great!
Overall, not a huge workout, I did it! It’s a start. And honestly, that’s the most important part. Just getting started. Tomorrow, I might even try a little jog. Baby steps, right? The key is to just keep moving.
