Okay, so I’ve been wanting to up my volleyball game, you know? And a big part of that is being able to watch my matches back and see what I’m doing right and, well, mostly what I’m doing wrong. So I went on a mission to find the best app for recording volleyball games. Let me tell you, it was a journey!

The Search Begins
First, I just tried using my phone’s regular camera app. I mean, it’s there, it’s easy, right? I propped it up on my water bottle, hit record, and played. The result? Shaky footage, bad angles, and I kept running out of storage space. Total fail.
Then, I asked around the team. A couple of people mentioned some generic sports recording apps, but nothing really stood out. They were either too complicated, with a million features I didn’t need, or they were super glitchy. Plus, a lot of them cost money, and I wasn’t ready to commit to anything yet.
Digging Deeper
So, I hit the internet. I started googling “best volleyball recording app,” “easy sports video app,” that kind of thing. I read some articles, watched some videos, and started to get a better idea of what was out there.
I found a few apps that seemed promising. Some had features like automatic score tracking, which sounded cool, but I was mostly concerned with just getting good, stable video.
The Testing Phase
Next the fun part, testing.
- App 1: Looked really fancy, but it turned out to be way too complicated. I spent more time fiddling with settings than actually recording.
- App 2: Was simple, but it kept crashing. Super annoying, especially in the middle of a game.
- App 3: This one seemed better. It was easy to use, had a decent zoom, and didn’t crash!
- App 4: No zoom feature.
My Choice
After testing 4,I found the App 3 is pretty good,I started using that app to record my practices and games. I experimented with different angles, placing on different area. I also figured out how to trim the videos down so I could just focus on the important parts.
It’s not perfect, of course. Sometimes the lighting is bad, sometimes I still mess up the angle, and there is no zoom feature. But overall, it’s been a huge help. I can actually see what I’m doing on the court, and it’s helping me improve my game. It’s way better than that first attempt with my water bottle, that’s for sure!
