Okay, here’s my blog post about my experience at Mall Sport Santiago, written in the style of a personal, down-to-earth blog:
So, I finally made it to Mall Sport in Santiago! I’d heard about this place for ages – it’s not your typical shopping mall. It’s, like, an activity mall. Think less browsing, more doing.
Getting There and First Impressions
I jumped in an Uber, because, let’s be real, navigating public transport in a new city is a headache I don’t need. The ride itself was pretty standard, nothing too crazy. But as we pulled up, I was immediately struck by how different it looked. It’s more like a sprawling complex than a single building.
I walked in, and the first thing I noticed was the sheer variety of stuff going on. You’ve got people rock climbing indoors, others on a wave machine trying to surf, and even a dedicated area for, I think, BMX biking? It’s wild!
Diving into the Action (and Almost Face-Planting)
I’m not exactly the most athletic person, but I figured, “When in Rome… or Santiago.” I decided to give the indoor climbing wall a shot. They geared me up – harness, shoes, the whole shebang – and I started my ascent. Okay, “ascent” might be a strong word. I managed to get about five feet off the ground before my arms started feeling like jelly. But hey, I tried!
- Tried rock climbing (sort of).
- Almost bought a super cool (but probably unnecessary) windbreaker.
- Watched that wave machine.
The Food Situation
After my “climbing adventure,” I was starving. Luckily, there are plenty of food options. Nothing too fancy, mostly cafes and casual restaurants. I grabbed a quick sandwich and a juice, which hit the spot. It wasn’t gourmet, but it was good fuel.
Overall Vibe
Mall Sport is definitely a cool place to check out if you’re in Santiago, especially if you’re into sports or just want to try something different. It’s not your typical “shop ’til you drop” experience. It’s more about being active, trying new things, and just having fun. I spent a good few hours there, and I definitely didn’t see everything. I might even go back and attempt that climbing wall again… maybe.
The best part is I finally made! I would like to share this exprience with everyone.
