Okay, so today I had to get an entertainment work permit for a project in Van Nuys. Let me tell you, finding Room 100 was a bit of a journey, so I figured I’d share my experience in case anyone else is going through this.
First, I drove to the Van Nuys City Hall. Parking was a little tricky, but I eventually found a spot a couple of blocks away. I walked to the building, and it’s pretty big, so I wasn’t entirely sure where to go. I asked a security guard, and he pointed me in the general direction, but honestly, it was still a bit confusing.
I wandered around for a while, looking at signs. It felt like I was in a maze! Finally, I spotted a directory, and saw that “Entertainment Work Permits” were listed under Room 100. I followed the signs, which took me down a long hallway, and past a bunch of other offices.
Finding Room 100
- Go inside.
- Look for directory.
- Follow signs to Room 100.
I finally reached Room 100, it will on the left. It is small office.I walked in, and there were a couple of people ahead of me. The room’s pretty small, just a few chairs and a counter.
I waited my turn, and when I got to the counter, the person there was super helpful. I explained what I needed, and they gave me the necessary forms.I filled out the paperwork, made sure I had all the required documents, and handed everything back. They processed it, and took a payment. Then I got my permit.
The whole process took longer than I expected, mostly because of the time I spent just trying to find the right * everyone was * be prepared to walk around a bit, and don’t be afraid to ask for directions if you get lost!
