Alright, let’s talk about this Radical Entertainment Inc. thing. I ain’t no fancy writer, so I’ll just tell it to ya straight, like it is.

What’s Radical Entertainment Inc. anyway?
Well, from what I gather, it’s one of them companies that makes them video games. You know, the kind the young’uns are always playin’. They started way back in 1991, long time ago, in September. Heard they were up in Canada, place called Vancouver, British Columbia. Pretty far from here, that’s for sure.
Now, they done made a whole bunch of games. I heard tell of some called “Scarface: The World is Yours,” “Crash Tag Team Racing,” and somethin’ about “The Simpsons” hittin’ and runnin’. Folks say some of them games sold a whole heap, millions of ’em! “Scarface” even sold over two million, imagine that! That’s a lot of games, ain’t it? Seems like they knew what they were doin’, at least for a while.
- Big Games, Big Sales
Like I said, “Scarface” was a big deal. Folks liked playin’ that one, I guess. And “Crash Tag Team Racing,” well, that sounds like a hoot and a holler. Them Simpsons folks, they always gettin’ into trouble, so I bet that game was somethin’ else. They made a whole bunch more, but I can’t remember all them names. Too many for this old brain.
What Happened to ’em?

Here’s where it gets a bit confusing. See, they were part of this other company, Sierra Entertainment, then later on, Activision, another big name. But somethin’ went wrong, I reckon. In 2013, seems like the Canadian government wasn’t too happy with ’em. Some kinda rule they didn’t follow, Section 212 somethin’ or other. So, they shut ’em down, dissolved ’em, they say. December 15th, 2013, that’s the day it all ended.
But then, I hear they still did some work after that. Somethin’ about takin’ them old “Prototype” games and puttin’ ’em on them new PlayStations and Xboxes. That was in 2015. So maybe they weren’t completely gone, just… different. It’s all a bit muddled, if you ask me.
Still Talkin’ About ‘Em
Even though they ain’t makin’ games no more, folks still talk about ’em. You can find lists of all the games they made online. They got websites and stuff that keep track of these things. People ratin’ their games, sayin’ which ones they liked best. Seems like they left a mark, even if they ain’t around no more. They call them old games “abandonware” now. Means nobody’s makin’ ’em or sellin’ ’em new, but folks still remember ’em fondly.
- Remembering the Good Old Days
It’s kinda like rememberin’ an old friend. They might be gone, but you still think about the good times you had. That’s how it is with these games, I guess. Folks played ’em when they were younger, had a blast, and now they look back and smile. It’s a nice thing, that is.

So, what’s the big deal?
Well, I ain’t sure there is a big deal, to be honest. They made some games, some folks liked ’em, and then they went away. That’s the story, plain and simple. But it’s kinda interestin’ to think about, you know? How a company can be there one day, makin’ all sorts of stuff, and then poof, gone the next. Makes you appreciate what you got while you got it, I suppose.
Games, Games, Games
They made a whole lot of games, that’s for sure. I heard tell there’s thousands of ’em listed somewhere, all official like. Must’ve been a busy bunch, them folks at Radical. Workin’ day and night, makin’ up all them stories and adventures. It’s hard work, makin’ games, I bet. Takes a lot of brain power, and patience too.
The End of the Road
So, that’s about all I know about Radical Entertainment Inc. They came, they made games, they left. Not a whole lot more to say, really. But it’s a piece of history, in a way. A little piece of that video game world. And who knows, maybe someday they’ll come back, or someone will remember them and make somethin’ new. You never can tell in this crazy world.

Final Thoughts
Anyways, that’s my take on it. Just a simple story about a company that made games. Nothin’ fancy, just the facts as I understand ’em. Hope it made some sense to ya. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. This talkin’s made me hungry!
