Okay, so, I’ve been hearing a lot about Onda Sports lately, and I finally decided to give it a try. Let me tell you, it was quite an experience. Here’s how it all went down.

First off, I did a quick search online to find out where I could get involved in Onda Sports. I found a local club that was offering introductory sessions. Sounded perfect, so I decided to sign up. I filled out their form and waited for a confirmation.
A few days later, I got an email confirming my spot in the beginner’s class. I was pretty pumped. The email had all the details, what to bring, where to go, and what time to be there. They suggested wearing comfortable clothes, which was easy enough. I already had some workout gear.
On the day of the session, I got to the sports center about 15 minutes early. Better safe than sorry, right? The place was buzzing with energy, people stretching, some already in the water. I checked in at the front desk, and they directed me to the pool area.
I met the instructor, a chill guy named Mark, who gave me a rundown of what to expect. He showed me the basics of how to use the equipment, how to stand, balance, and paddle. It looked simple enough, but I knew it would be harder than it looked. We were given our paddles and the board.
We started with some warm-up exercises on land. Lots of stretching and balancing drills. My legs were already feeling it, and we hadn’t even touched the water yet. After about 20 minutes of that, it was time to hit the pool.
Getting on the board was the first challenge. It was way more wobbly than I expected. I fell off a couple of times just trying to stand up. But, you know, everyone else was struggling too, so I didn’t feel too bad. Mark was super patient, giving us tips and helping us get back on.

- First Attempt: Fell off within seconds.
- Second Attempt: Managed to stand for a few seconds before losing balance.
- Third Attempt: Finally got the hang of it and could stand for a while.
Once I got the hang of standing, the next step was paddling. That was a whole other story. Coordinating my arms and keeping my balance was tough. I drifted all over the place, bumping into others a few times. But hey, that’s part of the fun, right?
After an hour in the water, I was exhausted but exhilarated. I had managed to stay up for longer periods and even paddle around a bit. It was a great workout, and I could see why people love this sport. Mark said I did pretty well for a first-timer, which was a nice confidence boost.
At the end of the session, I chatted with some of the other beginners. We all agreed it was a blast, and most of us were planning to come back for more. I signed up for a few more sessions right then and there. I mean, why not? It was fun, challenging, and a great way to stay active.
Reflecting on the Day
Looking back, the whole experience was awesome. I pushed myself out of my comfort zone, tried something new, and had a great time doing it. Plus, I got a solid workout in. I’m definitely hooked on Onda Sports now. Can’t wait for the next session!
So, if you are looking for something fun and different to do, you should totally try it out!
