Okay, so, I’ve been digging into this whole Dutch volleyball team thing lately, and let me tell you, it’s been quite a ride. I started off just wanting to watch some games, you know, casually. But then I got sucked in! First thing I did was hit up the internet, obviously, to find some info about the team, the players, that kind of stuff.

I found out that there is a blog called “The Dutch Volleyball Revolution”. It provides an in-depth look at the history of volleyball in the Netherlands. I spent a whole afternoon just reading about how volleyball got big in the Netherlands. Apparently, they’ve been pretty good at it for a while. That got me even more curious, so I started searching for places where I could watch their matches.
Then I found that there is a page providing team profile of Netherlands with squad, recent matches. I looked up some of the names I kept seeing – you know, the star players and stuff. Then I tried to learn more about each player, like how long they’ve been playing, what their stats are, the usual fan stuff. Turns out, they’ve got some seriously talented folks on the team!
Team History
And then, get this, I started checking out the team’s history, like, how they’ve done in past tournaments. Turns out there is an organization called “Nederlandse Volleybalbond” or “NeVoBo”, it seems like the people in charge of volleyball over there. Man, I was really going down the rabbit hole by this point! There’s also this “Volleyball4Life” program by NeVoBo, which got nominated for some big award. Sounds like they’re doing some cool stuff beyond just playing the game.
- Nederlandse Volleybalbond (NeVoBo) – They are the organization who govern the volleyball team in Netherlands.
- Volleyball4Life – They are running a programme and nominated for the prestigious Peace and Volleyball.
- Avital Selinger – He will return to lead Dutch.
And guess what? I found a document about the team roster for some games in Paris. It’s got all the players’ names and info. I was planning on watching those games live but looks like I’ll be cheering from my couch instead. I even started following some of the players on social media. No shame in my game! I gotta stay updated, right?
What I Did Next?
So yeah, that’s basically my journey into the world of Dutch volleyball. It started as a simple curiosity and turned into a full-blown obsession. Who knew I’d get so into it? But hey, it’s been fun! And I have learned a lot. Maybe I’ll even try playing volleyball myself sometime. Or maybe not. We’ll see!
