Man, I gotta get this off my chest. I’ve been glued to the screen all season, following every move the Dallas Cowboys made, and it’s been a rollercoaster, to say the least. So, I started digging into whether they’re out of the playoffs, and here’s what went down.
First off, I hit up the usual spots for sports news, you know, just to see what everyone’s saying. It was like, game after game, I was checking the scores, doing the math in my head. I remember that one Sunday, I was watching the Cowboys play, I don’t remember who they played. I was like, “If they lose this one, and Washington wins, that’s it, right?” So, I had another tab open, keeping an eye on the Washington game. Talk about stress!
Then, I started listing out the games. I grabbed a pen and paper – yeah, old school, I know – and wrote down each game, the results, who won, who lost. It looked something like this:
- Cowboys vs. Buccaneers – This was a big one, Week 16, I think. Everyone was saying how the Cowboys had to win this one.
- Cowboys vs. Panthers – Another crucial game. I remember thinking, “They gotta take this one down.” And they played well, but it was not enough.
- Washington vs. Eagles – This was the killer. When Washington won, I knew it was bad news for Dallas.
After jotting down all these games and results, I started doing some more serious digging. I was looking up all sorts of things, like “Cowboys playoff chances,” “NFC playoff picture,” stuff like that. I even found myself reading about the 49ers, who were also out of the running. It was wild to see how many teams were fighting for those last spots.
I was all over those sports news sites, trying to piece together what happened. They talked about some losing streak the Cowboys had – one game they lost by a lot, like 34-6 or something. I was shaking my head, like, “How did we get here?”
I spent hours, honestly, just reading and trying to make sense of it all. I felt like I was part of the team’s strategy room, trying to figure out where things went wrong. I was drawing up scenarios, like, “Okay, if they had won this game, and this team lost, then maybe…”

In the end, after all that digging and hoping, it hit me: the Cowboys were out. No playoffs this season. It was a bummer, man. All that excitement, all those close games, and it came down to this.
