Okay, so, I’ve been seeing a lot of buzz about volleyball anime lately, and I thought, “Why not give it a shot?” I mean, I used to play a bit in high school, nothing serious, just some casual games with friends. But yeah, the idea of watching anime about it kinda got me curious.
So, I did what any normal person would do – I started searching. I typed in “volleyball anime” and, man, the results were overwhelming! There are so many out there, which is pretty cool but also kinda made it hard to choose where to start. I spent a good chunk of time just reading summaries and looking at the art styles. Some looked really intense, others more lighthearted. It was a tough choice!
After some serious thinking, I decided to go with this one called “Haikyuu!!”. I saw a clip somewhere where this short kid jumps super high, and that really caught my eye. Plus, a lot of people were saying good things about it, calling it one of the best sports anime and all that. So, I figured, “Let’s do it!”
I found it on one of those streaming sites, I don’t remember the name. I think it is Netflix or something, and I just started watching. At first, I was a bit lost with all the characters, but I quickly got into it. The story is about this high school volleyball team trying to make it to the nationals. The main character, Hinata, is the short guy I mentioned. He’s not very tall, but man, can he jump! He teams up with this other guy, Kageyama, who’s like a genius setter, and they make this crazy duo.
I ended up binge-watching the whole thing. I mean, I basically spent the entire weekend on my couch, glued to the screen. The matches were so exciting! They made volleyball look so cool, with all the fast-paced action and the teamwork. I even found myself yelling at the screen sometimes, like “Go for it!” or “Don’t give up!” – yeah, I got a little too invested, maybe.
And you know what? It actually made me want to play volleyball again. I started looking up local clubs and stuff. I haven’t joined one yet, but I’m thinking about it. It’s been a while since I last played, so I’m a bit rusty, but I think it would be fun to get back into it. Also i found that the season 5 will be replaced by a two-part movie called “Haikyuu Final”. Some people are upset by this news, but to me, I am looking forward to it.
Here are some things I really liked:
- The animation: Seriously, the way they animated the matches was top-notch. It felt so dynamic and fluid.
- The characters: Each character had their own unique personality and backstory. I found myself rooting for all of them, even the rivals.
- The teamwork: The anime really emphasized the importance of teamwork, which I think is a great message.
Overall, it was a great experience. It’s not just about volleyball; it’s about chasing your dreams, overcoming challenges, and the power of friendship. And who knows maybe there are just 4 anime about volleyball according to my research, such as “Attacker You!” or “Ashita e Attack”. I might check them out later on. If you’re looking for something exciting and inspiring to watch, I definitely recommend checking out some volleyball anime. Just be prepared to get hooked!
