Today, I wanna talk about that volleyball game day. You know, that game with the big net and folks hittin’ the ball back and forth. My grandkids, they’re all crazy about it. They say it’s a real hoot!
So, this volleyball game day, it’s a big deal. Everybody gets all riled up. Six folks on each side, jumpin’ and divin’ for that ball. They try to get that ball to hit the ground on the other side of the net. If they do that, they get a point, simple as that.
They got rules, of course. Can’t just do whatever you want. My grandson, he tried to explain ’em to me once. Something about not touchin’ the net and only hittin’ the ball three times. It all sounds mighty complicated to this old timer. But they know what they’re doin’, I reckon.
Now, if you wanna watch this volleyball game day, there’s this thing, they call it “streaming.” Like a river, but it’s got pictures. You can watch it on your phone or your TV, if you got the right doohickey. They say something about an “ESPN” app, and another one called “Fubo”. Whatever that means. They say it’s free, at least for a little while. Sounds like a good deal to me!.
They also got this thing called “Live scores”. It’s like a scoreboard, but it’s on your phone or computer. It tells you who’s winnin’ and who’s losin’, right as it’s happenin’. Pretty fancy, huh? No need to refresh. You don’t need to ask nobody. They say you can find it on something called “*”. I don’t know, these new fangled things.
- Six players on each side, jumpin’ around!
- Gotta get that ball to hit the ground.
- Lots of rules, kinda confusing.
- You can watch it on your phone, they say.
- They tell you the score, right on your screen!
My granddaughter, she’s a real firecracker on the court. She can jump higher than a grasshopper! They got these special names for what they do. “Spiking” and “blocking” and “serving.” Sounds like a whole different language to me.
This volleyball game day thing, it’s been around for a while. They even play it in the Olympics, you know, that big sporting event they have every four years? Started back in ’64, in Tokyo. That’s in Japan, far away across the ocean. They say it’s a big honor to play in the Olympics.
Another thing they talk about is “365Scores”. Sounds like a lot of scores to me! But they say it keeps you up-to-date on everything about volleyball. News, games, who’s playin’, who’s winnin’. All that stuff. If you’re real serious about this volleyball, I guess that’s something you’d want.
There’s also this “official volleyball schedule”. It’s like a calendar, but just for volleyball. Tells you when the games are, what time they start. They even got “live team updates” and “stats” and “match highlights”. My, oh my, they got it all figured out, don’t they?
They also got these things called “box scores.” That’s like a report card for each player. It tells you how good they did in the game. I think that is some video things for you to watch. And “video highlights” are like the best parts of the game, all put together. They show you the most exciting moments. It’s fun to watch, even if you don’t know all the rules. They call it “Volleyball World’s streaming service”. I guess that means folks all over the world are watchin’.
These young folks, they sure do love their volleyball game day. They got all these fancy words and gadgets for it. They say “experience the energy”, “don’t miss out the action”. Sounds like some kind of a show to me. This volleyball thing is sure somethin’, ain’t it? Power, speed, it’s a real spectacle.
And on TikTok, there is this girl, Alia, she made a video about volleyball game day. She got 861 likes. I don’t know what that means but she seems popular.
So, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to do, maybe you should check out this volleyball game day. It might just surprise you. It’s a whole lot of runnin’ and jumpin’ and yellin’. And those young folks, they sure do love it. It’s a good time, I reckon. Just don’t ask me to explain all the rules!
