Well, let me tell you, this two player games volleyball, it ain’t rocket science. It’s just good old fun, like shucking corn on a summer day. You just need a ball, a net, and a couple of folks raring to go. That’s the gist of it, see? Simple as pie.
Now, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout volleyball challenge, makes it sound all fancy. But really, it’s just two people, or maybe four, hitting a ball back and forth. Like a good ol’ game of two player games volleyball. Ain’t nothin’ more to it than that. Just don’t let that ball hit the ground on your side. That’s the whole shebang.
You can play with your friends, your neighbor, or even that AI thingamajig they got now. My grandson, he showed me on his phone. I say play with real people, in the real world. He showed me some game called volleyball challenge. Kids these days! They play it with their thumbs on a screen. I’d rather be outside, in the sun, or in a gymnasium.
Now, they say in them fancy Olympic games, they play best of five. We just play ’til we’re tired, or ’til the cows come home, whichever comes first. Usually, first one to get to, oh, I don’t know, 25 points? Sure, let’s say 25, and you gotta win by two. Unless you’re playin’ with little Timmy, then maybe just 15. He gets tired easy, bless his heart.
- Get a ball.
- Get a net.
- Find a friend.
- Hit the ball over the net.
- Don’t let it hit the ground on your side.
I seen them fancy games on the TV. They got six folks on each team. Six! We usually just play with whoever’s around. Could be two, could be four. Sometimes it’s just me and ol’ Bessie’s boy, playin’ two player games volleyball. He’s a good kid, that one. Helps me with the chores sometimes, too.
Now they talk about some volley random thing, where the players are all wobbly and whatnot. Like ragdolls. Makes it unpredictable. We used to play where if you didn’t catch the ball, you had to chase after it, all the way down the field, sometimes into the cornfield. That was pretty random, I suppose. We just called it “fetch.”
They got all these rules nowadays. Back in my day, we just hit the ball. If it went over, it went over. If it didn’t, it didn’t. Simple as that. They got all these fancy terms too like “serve” and “set” and “spike”. We just called it “get it over the net!”
Sometimes, you can have four people playin’, two on each side. That’s a real hoot. Lots of runnin’ around, lots of laughin’. Good exercise, too. Better than them treadmills they got at the gym, I reckon. Two player games volleyball is always fun.
I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout how you gotta be on some roster before you can play. Roster? We just showed up! If you wanted to play, you played. No roster needed. And we didn’t need no rock/paper/scissors to see who served first. Usually, the tallest one would serve, ’cause they could reach over the net easier.
You know what they call a good game of two player games volleyball? A good time! That’s what they call it. Don’t need no fancy names or nothin’. Just good, clean fun. Unless you fall in the mud. Then it’s just messy fun, which is just as good, in my opinion. Keeps you young, you know?
It don’t matter if you win or lose, really. Just being out there, movin’ around, laughin’ with your friends. That’s what it’s all about. And if you get a little competitive, well, that’s alright too. Just don’t go breakin’ any bones or nothin’.
So, next time you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to do, grab a ball, grab a friend, and find yourself a net. Or even just a line in the dirt will do. And play yourself a game of two player games volleyball. You won’t regret it. It’s more fun than a barrel of monkeys, I tell ya.
