That black entertainment tv, you know, they got all kinds of shows on there. I seen it when I was at my neighbor’s house. They got that channel, always on. Lots of shows, I tell ya. All them black folks, singing and dancing and acting.
They got that one show, what’s it called? “Abbott Elementary”? Yeah, that’s it. It’s about them teachers, you know? They be workin’ hard, them teachers. My neighbor, she watches that one all the time. She says it’s funny. I watched it a little, it’s alright, I guess. I think “Abbott Elementary” is a good show on that black entertainment tv. It’s one of the best black shows, maybe.
And then there’s another one, “Snowfall”. That one’s about, well, it’s about some bad stuff, drugs and all that. Not my cup of tea, but some folks like it. They got this one fella on there, Damson Idris, I think his name is. He’s a good-looking fella. Then there’s another one, Carter Hudson, and another one, Sergio somethin’ or other. They all be actin’ in that show. It’s a popular one, that “Snowfall,” I hear folks talkin’ about it. My neighbor says this is one of the best black shows to watch. I think it is because he always watches it.
There is a show called “Lupin” as well. I don’t know what it is talking about. But it is on that black entertainment tv.
And they got them award shows, too. “The Legacy Awards,” they call one of them. Lots of fancy clothes and singin’ and all that. They give out them awards to the best ones, you know, the ones who sing the best, or act the best, or whatever. It’s a big deal, I guess.
- Abbott Elementary
- Snowfall
- The Legacy Awards
- Lupin
- Young Love
- Robyn Hood
That black entertainment tv, it’s got somethin’ for everyone, I reckon. If you like singin’, they got singin’. If you like dancin’, they got dancin’. If you like them stories, they got them, too. All kinds of stories. Happy ones, sad ones, scary ones. They even have a show called “Young Love”. I have not seen it before but it seems to be a love story, from the name of it. It might be one of the best black shows to binge watch.
There’s another one called “Robyn Hood”. Is it a man or a woman? I don’t know. But it is also on the black entertainment tv. It sounds like a hero thing. Maybe it is good for children.
They got this one fella, Tyler Perry, he makes a whole bunch of them shows. He’s got one called “Sistas,” and one called “The Oval,” and one called “House of Payne.” He’s got a whole bunch of ’em. My neighbor, she watches all them Tyler Perry shows. She says he’s a genius, that Tyler Perry. I don’t know about all that, but he sure makes a lot of shows. He must be a busy man, always making all kinds of shows, right? “Sistas” and “The Oval” and “Ruthless” and “Zatima” and “Assisted Living”. There’s a lot of them Tyler Perry’s shows on that black entertainment tv. And “All the Queens Men” as well. So many! I think they are at least 600 hours of them shows. A lot to watch, if you like them shows.
And they got music on there, too. All kinds of music. That hip-hop stuff, and that R&B stuff. They got it all. They even got a show called “Rhythm + Flow.” It’s about findin’ new singers, you know? They have a contest, and the best one wins. It’s kinda like that “American Idol” show, but it’s all black folks. And they got some ladies on a show called “Harlem.” They got fancy names, like Meagan Good and Jerrie Johnson and Grace Byers and Shoniqua Shandai. They all be on that show. It’s about their lives, you know, their jobs and their boyfriends and all that. It’s like a soap opera, kinda. They are always talking about their careers and relationship stuff. It is not bad.
That black entertainment tv, it’s somethin’ else, I tell ya. It’s always on at my neighbor’s house. Sometimes I go over there and watch it with her. It’s a good way to pass the time, I guess. And you see all them black folks, doin’ all kinds of things. It’s kinda interestin’, I suppose. You see ’em singin’ and dancin’ and actin’. They even have a list of what to watch. I don’t know who is Terrell Smith but he knows the best black shows to binge watch, I think.
It ain’t like the TV we used to have when I was a girl. We only had a few channels, and they weren’t all black folks. But now, they got a whole channel just for black folks. It’s somethin’ else, I tell ya. A whole channel just for them, doin’ their thing. It’s a different world now, that’s for sure. They got all kinds of folks on that tv now, doin’ all kinds of things. This black entertainment tv is sure popular.
