Well, let me tell you somethin’ about these two fellas, Jake Ferguson and Dalton Schultz. They both play that football, you know, the one with the runnin’ and the throwin’. Now, which one’s better? That’s what everyone’s yappin’ about, and it’s enough to make your head spin like a top!
This here Jake Ferguson, he’s a young’un, full of piss and vinegar. Folks say he’s gonna catch, maybe, three balls and run for about 31 yards. That’s what some fancy folks are sayin’, anyway. Seems like a decent amount, I reckon. But then again, I ain’t no football expert. I can tell you that he has 8.6 fantasy points, whatever that means. Three receptions, they say.
Then you got this Dalton Schultz. He’s been around the block a few times, seen a thing or two. They’re sayin’ he’s also gonna catch around three balls, maybe run for 30 yards or so. Not much different than young Jake, huh? He only has 7.7 fantasy points. I don’t know nothin’ about fantasy, but the smaller number, the worse I reckon.
Some folks are sayin’ to pick Dalton Schultz over Jake Ferguson for your fantasy football in 2024. They say they got advice from over 100 football experts. Now, I don’t know what a “fantasy football expert” is, but it sounds mighty important. Guess these folks know their stuff when it comes to pickin’ players.
- You got your Jake Ferguson, young buck.
- Then you got your Dalton Schultz, a bit older.
- Both of ’em play tight end, whatever that means.
Now, I heard some folks whisperin’, sayin’ to make sure both these boys, Schultz and Ferguson, are healthy before you go pickin’ ’em. Makes sense, I suppose. Can’t have a fella on your team if he’s laid up in bed, can ya? These PPR projections say Dalton is gonna do better.
In Week 15, whatever that means, they say you gotta choose between startin’ Dalton Schultz or Jake Ferguson. That’s a tough one. They got advice from over 80 of them fantasy football experts. Sounds like a whole lot of folks tryin’ to figure out who’s gonna run better and catch more balls.
Then, they say the same thing for Week 16. It’s always about choosing between Dalton and Jake. Maybe they are the best two. Who knows?
I heard someone mention a bunch of other names too. Jake Ferguson, Cade Otton, Juwan Johnson, Dalton Kincaid, Stone Smartt, and Dalton Schultz. This Dalton Schultz guy seems to be important. They talk about his receiving yards. Maybe that is important for winning.
Now, this Schultz fella, he’s been playin’ a lot, that’s for sure. They say he was on the field for 96% of the team’s snaps in somethin’ called Week 3. But he ain’t been catchin’ many balls, only two for 11 yards against some team called Minnesota. If there were better players, he probably wouldn’t even be playin’.
But then, before somethin’ called a Week 14 bye, he started doin’ better. They say he had some top-14 fantasy finishes. Sounds like he got better at catchin’ and runnin’. He can be an option if you are in deep-league, whatever that means.
So, who’s it gonna be? Jake Ferguson or Dalton Schultz? It’s a real head-scratcher, ain’t it? One thing’s for sure, though, both these boys can play that football. But, if I had to choose, and I ain’t sayin’ I’m any good at this, I’d say… well, I just don’t know! Maybe flip a coin? Heads or tails? That’s about as good a way as any to decide, I reckon.
Just remember, this old lady ain’t no expert. But I’ve seen a thing or two in my day. And I tell ya, that football, it’s a funny game. One day you’re up, the next you’re down. Just like life, I suppose. So, you pick whichever one you think is gonna do better, and hope for the best. That’s all any of us can do, ain’t it?
In the end, you just gotta use your own noggin. Listen to what them experts say, but don’t be afraid to go with your gut. Sometimes, that’s all you got. Just like plantin’ seeds in the garden, you never know what’s gonna sprout. You just gotta plant ’em and see what happens. Same with these football players. You pick ’em and see what they can do. Good luck, I say. You’re gonna need it!
