Okay, so the other day, I was thinking, “It’s freaking hot, and I need to do something fun in the pool.” Then it hit me – why not combine a couple of pool games? I’d seen those inflatable volleyball nets and basketball hoops, so I figured, let’s try both!

First, I grabbed the inflatable volleyball net. It was one of those deals with the weighted bags on the sides to keep it in place. Setting that up was pretty easy, just inflated it and filled the side bags with water. Took like, 10 minutes, tops.
Next up was the basketball hoop. This one was a little different – it just floated on the surface. I blew it up, and that was it, ready to go. It looked pretty sturdy, so that was a good sign.
The Games Begin!
We started with volleyball. It was a blast! The net was surprisingly stable, and we were diving and spiking like crazy. It’s way harder than regular volleyball, though, because you’re, you know, in the water. It’s a great workout, and super fun.
- The water makes you a little slower.
- You also can’t jump as high.
After a while, we switched to basketball. Now, this was hilarious. Trying to dribble in the water? Forget about it. It was mostly just throwing the ball and hoping for the best. We made up some rules, like no getting too close to the hoop, just to make it a little more challenging.
The best part was combining the two. We’d be playing volleyball, and then someone would grab the basketball and try to make a shot from across the pool. Total chaos, but in the best way possible.
Seriously, if you’re looking for a way to spice up your pool time, I totally recommend trying this. It’s cheap, easy to set up, and you’ll be laughing the whole time. Just be prepared to get splashed – a lot!
