Okay, so the other day I was scrolling through my social media feed, and I saw this ad for a 4-square volleyball game set. It looked like a ton of fun, so I decided to give it a shot. I clicked on the “buy now” button and a couple of days later, a big box showed up at my door.
I called up a few friends and we decided to set it up in my backyard. We opened the box and started pulling out all the pieces. There were poles, nets, and a volleyball. It looked a little intimidating at first, but the instructions were pretty easy to follow.
We started by laying out the net on the ground. It’s this big square net, divided into four smaller squares. Then, we assembled the poles. They were in sections and we just had to connect them together. It was kind of like putting together a giant puzzle, but way easier. We stuck the poles into the ground at each corner of the net, making sure they were nice and secure.
Once the poles were in place, we attached the net to them. It was pretty straightforward. There are these straps on the net that you just loop around the poles and tighten. We made sure the net was taut, so the ball would bounce nicely.
Game Time!
With the net all set up, we were ready to play! We divided ourselves into teams and each team took a square. The basic idea is to hit the volleyball into another team’s square, and they have to hit it back into someone else’s square. If you miss or hit it out of bounds, you’re out.

- We were diving, jumping, and laughing the whole time.
- It’s a lot more fast-paced than regular volleyball because the ball can come at you from any direction.
- We played for hours, and even when we were tired, we didn’t want to stop.
After we were done, taking down the set was just as easy as putting it up. We loosened the straps, pulled the poles out of the ground, and folded up the net. Everything fit neatly back into the box, which was great for storage.
Honestly, this 4-square volleyball game set was one of the best things that I bought. It’s a super fun game to play with friends, it’s easy to set up, and it’s a great way to get some exercise. If you’re looking for a new outdoor activity, I definitely recommend giving it a try.
