Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this 2023 Illusions Football Checklist thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a ride. Here’s the full story of what I did and how it went down.
First off, I got my hands on this checklist. It’s basically a big list of football cards from Panini America. I was curious about what cards were in the set and figured I’d dive in and see what’s what.
I started by looking through the whole list. There are 100 cards in total. I noticed right away that the design of these cards is pretty, well, plain. Not a lot going on. Compared to other football card sets I’ve seen this year, these are kind of boring to look at.
Then I got into the details. The checklist is all about these “Trophy Collection” parallels. It’s like different versions of the same card, but with different colors and stuff. I spent a good chunk of time checking out these variations, trying to figure out which ones were rarer or more valuable. It gets pretty deep if you want it to.
Autographs!
Next up, I focused on the autographs. This is where things got a little more interesting. The checklist has a bunch of cards with signatures from first-year players. I looked into the “First Impressions Autographed Memorabilia” and “Rookie Signs” sections, and let me tell you, I was checking out a whole bunch of rookies. It’s not just rookies, though, there are other players’ signatures too.

I spent a lot of time trying to figure out which cards were worth the most. The release date was in March so a lot of these are going for higher prices now. I found a few that had values that I liked and noted them down.
After all that, I organized my notes and made my own little guide to the checklist. It was a lot of work, but now I’ve got a better handle on the 2023 Illusions Football set. It’s not the most exciting set out there, but it’s got some cool stuff if you’re into collecting, especially those autographed cards.
